Hello, to everyone at home, I'm loving it here at the MTC my first day was an interesting one, as soon as we got into the building we were taken to orientation. I was the only one to stand when Tennessee was called. There are so many missionaries here and this is one of my favorite places in the world right now. My companionS are Elder Warner and Elder Willes. We have a trio because Elder Warner's companion fast tracked and didn't even come to the MTC. There is so much I'm still learning about how the MTC works, we get up every day at 6:30 and pray and start our studies for about 2 1/2 hours, then we go to breakfast which isnt that bad, today they had bacon which made my P-day so much better. Then we go back to class for another 3 hours of studying, then dinner. then right back to the class for 3 1/2 more hours of studying and we get back to our room at about 9:45 PM.
Ive studied harder here harder than I've studied in my life. On day 3 me and my companions who had never taken chinese before had to teach our first investigator and had to teach him in complete chinese. It was sooo hard especially because i had to teach the whole lesson by myself because my companions didnt know how to speak a word of the language. I am very thankful that merylanne sent me tennis shoes, im actually wearing them right now, and a big thanks to the Laing family for sending me COOKIES! they are so good. I'm the senior companion right now and its pretty funny seeing what i can "advise" my companions to do. I love hearing from home and id love to hear more. The spirit here is like nothing else. its so strong in that it manifests itself in so many different ways. I'm striving to be more like the savior in that i can teach and learn better and be able to communicate more effectivly to be able to help my investigators feel the spirit and to be able to invite them to come unto Christ. I could pray in complete chinese on day 4 and ive been doing it almost 5 or 6 times a day just to try and keep expanding my knowledge and abilities. the first day here the Czechoslovakian Ambassador (a non-member) came and spoke to us briefly and encouraged us to get out there and just teach the world our great truth. Every morning is Freezing COLD here its below freezing like every day and i have gym at 6:40 AM almost every day so i have to go out in shorts and a T-shirt in like 10 degree weather. I hear its not much warmer at home. Im so tired... im almost nodding off right now im so tired. I get to see Zac a lot more than I expected to and we see each other in Choir and during lunch and dinner. I finally got to do laundry today and its almost done so I just want to say that i love everyone at home, Roman, I encourage you to keep being awesome, random, weird, and hilarious. I love being your friend and I hope you'll keep talking with the missionaries back home, youre a great guy and I know there are great things in store for you. Nala, youre my favorite kitty in the whole world. meow meow meow meaow and stuff like that. give her some pepperoni. send me a picture of her and another of the whole family, I'll send some more pictures later on and well I love you all and I cant wait to go to Taiwan!
Love,
